AEF’s Huffman Completes US Chamber Talent Pipeline Management Program

The AOBA Educational Foundation (AEF) recently announced Executive Director Wes Huffman completed his certification from the Talent Pipeline Management Academy from the US Chamber of Commerce Foundation.

The Talent Pipeline Management (TPM) framework is built on a foundation of employer collaboration to create real career pathways for students and workers that align with dynamic industry needs. Huffman’s certification comes as AEF explores creative ways to address pressing talent shortages in building engineering and maintenance in commercial real estate and multifamily housing across the Washington metro area.

“The engineering and maintenance talent shortage in our industries will require innovative solutions and collaboration across our employers, our education and training provider partners, and perhaps even the public sector,” Huffman said. “The TPM Framework and lessons learned through the TPM Academy will help AEF develop a collaborative approach for AOBA members and the DMV commercial real estate and multifamily housing communities to address the pressing need for qualified workers in building engineering and maintenance.”

The TPM Academy, facilitated by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation over the course of several months, trains business, workforce, and economic development leaders to build partnerships among education and training providers to address talent needs by building and sustaining career pipelines for students and learners in the region.
